About the role

Responsibilities
- You will participate in a variety of software projects at our institute and will be part of an international team of researchers from day one.
- You will learn how mathematical methods are applied to solve problems from science, engineering and industry.
- Processing complex data from physical-technical applications will be a key focus.
- You will develop new software modules in a team, extend existing software, perform testing, support the development of domain-specific data analysis concepts, implement customer requirements in diverse projects, document and present results, and much more.
Requirements
- General or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification (Abitur)
- Good knowledge/grades in mathematics and computer science and a strong technical understanding
- Interest in an intensive, challenging training program
- Programming is your passion — we welcome any prior software development experience
- You are willing to take part in a MATSE knowledge test. Passing the FH Aachen aptitude test (held in Cologne) is required. Please ask us or FH Aachen for available test dates!
- High willingness to learn, initiative and quick comprehension
