Civil Engineering Project Manager responsible for leading infrastructure projects and mentoring team members at Foth's Rapid City office. Engaging collaboratively with clients and managing multiple projects successfully.
Responsibilities
Lead civil engineering design and project management for municipal infrastructure, including water and wastewater systems, drainage, utilities, roadway design, site development, conveyance, storage, and pump stations.
Support the Client Team Lead with business development activities and help strengthen client relationships.
Interact directly with clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Mentor and develop team members in both technical skills and professional growth.
Assist with proposals, presentations, and participation in professional organizations and tradeshows.
Deliver projects within defined budget, schedule, and contractual commitments.
Prepare engineering plans, manage GIS and file organization, and coordinate internal/external surveying and subconsultant activities.
Assist with defining project scope and managing contract changes; negotiate scopes with subconsultants.
Develop technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering designs.
Provide construction administration and coordinate construction management activities.
Establish goals and performance feedback for team members.
Participate in recruiting efforts, including networking events and college career fairs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) License in South Dakota
Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects and client relationships
Minimum 10 years of experience in the civil engineering consulting industry
15+ years of experience planning, designing, and constructing public utility projects
