About the role
- Service parts releasing and catalogue specialist responsible for validating supplier details and maintaining part information. Supporting supply chain team in ordering and tracking parts based in Chennai, India.
Responsibilities
- Basic understanding of Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehousing, and Transportation operations
- Must have a sense of urgency and ability to adapt and react quickly as situations arise.
- Demonstrated background and success with building relationships and working with others to resolve issues.
- Review the Initial part list from releasing system and validate the supplier details.
- Set up a master Share Point file with all part information and maintain supersessions.
- Part loading into ERP for Supply chain team to order on supplier/affiliates.
- Communicate the part numbers to the responsible buyers for direct suppliers and track until source confirmation is obtained.
- Contact the affiliate to confirm supportability.
- Look through various upstream systems to identify alternate sources if required.
- Investigate IPL errors if any and escalate to the new model coding and Spec supervisor.
- Ensure incorrect minor feature codes or missing codes are addressed.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates must have a B.Tech or BE degree in Mechanical/Automobile.
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in Automotive supply chain/Service parts releasing/service parts catalogue
- Good data analysis skills with knowledge on new generation analytical tools will be of an added advantage.
