Responsibilities
Manage potential safety, regulatory compliance, and high-impact quality concern investigations
Lead and guide the preparation of problem-solving and business case documents for internal reviews (i.e., 8D, FMEA, 3-legged 5 whys, etc.)
Collaborate with, coach, and critique presentation materials prepared by product development, manufacturing, supplier, and quality team members for internal reviews
Engage and provide direction as needed to assembly plant and engineering teams for issues necessitating the resolution of vehicle concerns before they are released for shipment
Work with safety, legal counsel, purchasing, manufacturing, and service activities within the company in orchestrating recalls based on established corporate procedures
Work with fleet service engineering for early warning of potential safety or high-impact quality concerns
Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent
Master's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is a plus
3-5 years of engineering design and release, manufacturing, or STA experience
Black Belt experience is greatly helpful
Understanding of linkages between Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA), design and Product Verification Plans, and Engineering Specifications and their application to components/sub systems/systems
Prior automotive plant or launch experience beneficial, but not mandatory
Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
