Responsibilities
Develop team through coaching and generating ideas with the Geotechnics Manager and colleagues.
Ensure the quality of work issued is high and conforms to RP&IT and Group procedures.
Participate proactively in the management of the team.
Seek advice and input from Geotechnics Manager and Principal Geotechnical Engineer on challenging projects.
Consolidate Group experience in discipline.
Promote experience and good practice throughout the TechnipFMC Group.
Be conversant with the latest industry developments.
Provide the main link between project management teams and RP&IT.
Liaise with project management teams to identify the motives for any given work request, ensure the scope of work agreed is suitable and that the task is completed within the agreed timeframe.
Effectively manage on-going R&D programs to ensure they are completed to forecast schedule and budget.
Requirements
High quality honours degree in Civil Engineering
A post-graduate degree or PhD in geotechnical engineering is desired
Relevant industry experience
Be capable of applying geotechnical principles to the full range of offshore geotechnical engineering problems faced by the TechnipFMC Group
Previous experience of subsea geotechnical engineering problems is preferred, particularly in the specialist fields of trenching and soil/pipeline interaction.
