About the role
- Junior Back-End Developer joining Festo's global Agile development team. Involved in designing and developing Java-based solutions in the PIM ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- As a Backend developer, you will be part of a global Agile development team which develops and maintains PIM (Product Information Management) ecosystem.
- PIM involves and import a variety of different data sources, processes them, and export to different data-consuming systems.
- Your daily tasks include the design, development, and integration of existing and new Java-based solutions.
- A small part (~30 %) of your daily tasks will be related to DevOps activities.
Requirements
- JVM-based languages experience (Java, Kotlin)
- Experience with React, Git and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, MS SQL (or another relational DB)
- Experience building REST APIs
- Software testing knowledge (unit, integration testing)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and customer orientation
- Agile mindset
- Wiliness to understand business requirements
- Nice to have: Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and cScript (C-like language) / Python
