About the role
- API Platform Developer designing integration solutions that connect applications and data. Collaborating with international teams in a hybrid work environment at Festo.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Design, implementation and documentation of synchronous and asynchronous integration solutions that connect applications, processes and data across the enterprise landscape.
- Development of technical integration standart packages, reference architektures and CI/CD automations.
- Advise, guide and consult internal and external stakeholders on the design and implementation of best-practice integrations solutions.
- Collaboration with international application teams.
- Support in administration, monitoring and operation of the enterprise integration system, incl. on-duty
- Participate in general platform operations tasks to ensure stability of the enterprise integration landscape
- Work in an agile, English-speaking international team which provides 24/7 support with a follow-the-sun approach
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification
- Familiarity with message protocols for sync.and async. Communiaciont (MQTT, AMQP, Web Sockets etc.) andt modern service and integration architectures (HTTP/2, REST and GraphQL APIs, SOAP etc.)
- Proficiency with data formats such as JSON and XML etc.
- Experience with version control systems, software development tools
- Good analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
- Strong service orientation, communication
- Fluent Business English
- Nice to have: Experience with API Management Tools like Apigee, Message Broker Plathorm like Solace
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms like Google Cloud or AWS.
