About the role

  • SEO Specialist optimizing website content to enhance organic traffic for Ferryhopper's ferry booking services. Collaborating with marketing teams and applying SEO best practices across digital platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Own keyword research end-to-end: identify opportunities, understand user intent, and make recommendations on what to optimize
  • Optimize internal linking based on SEO best practices and performance insights
  • Recommend content optimization to content marketers based on data-driven insights
  • Leverage data on LLM performance to drive changes aimed at improving our GEO
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and build actionable reports on competitor performance, search trends, and market opportunities
  • Perform regular technical SEO audits, identifying and resolving issues related to crawlability, indexing, site architecture, and structured data
  • Use Data Studio, Google Analytics, GSC, and Ahrefs to monitor and analyze performance, track KPIs, and inform decisions. Report on this performance to the Head of Organic and during team meetings
  • Take initiative, be proactive in driving change independently to maximize organic growth impact
  • Manage organic partnerships and outreach initiatives to enhance domain authority and improve rankings across key markets
  • Stay ahead of trends in search, LLMs, and AI-driven search results, ensuring our SEO remains future-proof
  • Collaborate with copywriters, product, and marketing teams to implement SEO best practices and ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints

Requirements

  • 3 years of hands-on, proven SEO experience with measurable results
  • Strong understanding of SEO pillars & search engine algorithms
  • A hands-on attitude, with a focus on execution and continuous improvement
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Self-starter, able to take ownership of key SEO tasks and reporting while understanding the bigger SEO strategy
  • Experience with tools: Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc
  • Experience in crafting Data Studio reports and Google Sheets
  • Strong communication skills in English & Greek
  • Team spirit and passion
