About the role

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client mental health, emotional well-being, and social functioning.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients to address their specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct behavioral support, evidence-based interventions, and life skill development to support clients with achieving their goals.
  • Provide psychoeducation on mental health and substance use topics, such as symptom management, relapse prevention, and developing healthy coping skills.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities and social interactions.
  • Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and other stakeholders on implementing behavior management strategies and techniques.
  • Engage clients in risk assessment and safety planning.
  • Participate in supervision to review cases, receive guidance, and collaborate on therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, Psychology or related field required.
  • In process and/or proof of active intern registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, as an Associate Clinical Social Worker or Associate Marriage Family Therapist.
  • Direct experience in a Behavioral Health or Social Services setting such as outpatient clinics, behavioral health facilities, and/or related community-based organizations.
  • Current active and unrestricted California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Psychologist for Social Worker/Therapist IV.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of database and reporting tools.
  • Preferred Spanish Bilingual.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
