About the role
- Data Engineer building and maintaining data pipelines for AI applications in international family business. Working with data from SAP, Microsoft Fabric, and ensuring data quality and governance.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and further develop data pipelines to supply AI applications
- Connect and prepare data from SAP (S/4HANA), Data Sphere or Microsoft Fabric
- Develop ETL/ELT workflows for AI projects and integrate them into existing BI/DWH structures
- Support the development of a consistent data platform for AI usage
- Collaborate with AI developers and business units to collect and transform relevant data
- Ensure data quality, security and governance
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Engineering or a comparable field
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Dataflows or similar
- Knowledge of working with SAP data (S/4HANA, Data Sphere) is an advantage
- Confident use of SQL, Python or R
- Good understanding of data modeling and interfaces (REST APIs, OData, etc.)
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Analytical thinking, accuracy and a structured way of working
