About the role

  • Senior Full-Stack Engineer leading technical solutions and mentoring in the EXL Premium Audit platform team. Collaborating across global teams to incorporate AI/ML features and ensure quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as technical leaders within the squad
  • Partner with the Product Owner, BA team, and Technical Architect to translate business objectives into robust architectural designs and high-quality solutions
  • Operate with significant autonomy, provide clarity when requirements are ambiguous
  • Ensure the team delivers scalable, secure, and maintainable features across the EXL Premium Audit platform
  • Serve as the primary engineering mentor within the pod, guiding Band A/B developers and ensuring strong engineering practices
  • Convert business goals and high-level requirements into clear, actionable application architecture
  • Design holistic solutions including backend services, frontend flows, integrations, data models, and security considerations
  • Produce high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) architecture documents that reflect scalable, maintainable future-state patterns
  • Ensure designs are aligned with the existing global architecture and work closely with the Technical Architect to maintain consistency
  • Understand the capabilities and limitations of AI systems and propose how LLM-based features can best be incorporated
  • Design stable APIs and workflows to integrate AI services in a secure and predictable way
  • Provide high-level effort estimates and technical input to the Product Owner for planning and roadmap decisions
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of complex features using .NET, Entity Framework, Python, and modern frontend frameworks (Angular)
  • Serve as the primary technical reviewer for the pod, ensuring code quality, security practices, and performance standards
  • Collaborate closely with QA Automation and Performance engineers to ensure architectural decisions support testability and performance requirements
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of database structures, network interactions, microservices (where applicable), and application hosting environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within SLA, including root cause analysis and preventative engineering improvements
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, elevating the engineering culture within the Ireland pod
  • Work effectively across global teams (US, India, Ireland), translating between business context and technical implementation
  • Proactively identify technical risks, design gaps, or opportunities to simplify the user experience for auditors and carriers.

Requirements

  • Typically 7–12 years of engineering experience, with at least several years designing or leading complex enterprise applications.
  • Deep hands-on experience with .NET / Entity Framework, Python, and Angular. Experience with form.io or other form
  • Strong architectural grounding: API design, data modeling, system integrations, security fundamentals, and performance optimization.
  • Prior experience integrating AI/ML/LLM services (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, etc.).
  • Experience with form.io or similar schema-driven dynamic form frameworks (JSON-based forms, conditional logic, reusable components) is a strong plus.
