About the role
- Junior/Mid Software Engineer developing features for EveryPay's payment platform impacting merchants and shoppers. Collaborating across teams and taking ownership of projects within a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop features across our payment platform that impact thousands of merchants and millions of shoppers
- Master the fascinating world of payments while working with Visa, MasterCard, and other major payment schemes
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, SRE, Compliance, and Operations
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that you'll be proud of
- Take ownership of features from conception to deployment
- Experience full CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, and agile methodologies
- We'll invest in your growth with training, courses, and mentorship from senior engineers

Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional software development experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Understanding of REST API design principles
- Basic knowledge of testing and code quality practices
- Completed military obligations (if applicable)
- Experience with PHP or similar backend languages (Nice-to-Haves)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) (Nice-to-Haves)
- Interest in fintech or payment systems (Nice-to-Haves)
- Knowledge of security best practices (Nice-to-Haves)
