About the role
- Analytics Engineer transforming data for analytical-ready datasets. Collaborating with stakeholders and implementing data models for EveryPay's decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ELT data transformations within our Data Warehouse using SQL and Python, with a focus on data detail and accuracy
- Ensure data quality by implementing checks and validation for analytical datasets
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and data requirements
- Develop dashboards and reports on our Business Intelligence tool
- Implement analytical data models in the data warehouse
- Learn about the payments domain and work collaboratively within your team
Requirements
- 2+ years in data, focused on transformation and preparation for analytics
- Expert SQL, with strong Redshift or columnar database experience
- Experienced in Python (including Pandas) for data processing; PySpark experience is beneficial
- Experienced with Git or any other version control tool
- Experience with data transformation pipelines (ELT/ETL), focusing on warehouse processing. AWS Glue experience is a plus
- Familiarity with data quality concepts; experience with automated data quality tools is a plus
- Experience with BI tools/dashboarding, Metabase or Power BI is a plus
- Ability to implement pre-designed data models. Familiarity with dimensional modeling concepts is highly desirable
- Familiarity with AWS services is a huge plus. Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) is also a plus
- Experience with DBT (data build tool) is a strong plus
- Payments/finance background is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with non-technical business stakeholders
