About the role
- Drone Engineer supporting Eversource's drone operations and technical inspections in Hartford, CT and helping to develop drone standards. Involvement in data collection, analysis, and assisting pilots in the field.
Responsibilities
- Support internal and vendor drone operations across the company
- Assist Eversource drone pilots in the office and field
- Perform data collection, management, analysis and reporting including data visualization
- Support the development of drone standards and best practices for inspections
- Assist in training and review of inspection crews and reports
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required
- Experience in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electric utility industry is strongly preferred
- At least three to five years of experience
- Familiarity with drone technology and drone industry software
- Knowledge of FAA drone regulations and waiver process is desired
- Understanding of data collection, management, analysis and reporting systems
- Familiarity with line construction, surveying, and inspections is desired
