About the role
- Eversource Energy seeks Distribution Design Associate Engineer to assist in the planning and performance for assigned circuits. This role provides engineering support and training for career advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning function and performance for all assigned circuits.
- Assist in identifying benefits from individual projects and predicted desired outcomes.
- Provide engineering support for specific projects.
- Assist with engineering resolutions for multiple outages in the Distribution System.
- Create field work in current work management system.
- Provide engineering support to Field Engineering Design P&CE on developing Recloser and Breaker settings.
- Develop recommendations on equipment replacement vs repair to maximize Return on Asset (ROA).
- Participate during major restoration efforts including Emergency Preparedness.
- Utilize electronic software tools to model and analyze the distribution system (SynerGee, PTI, USAmp, PI, Visio, etc).
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, Electrical Engineering preferred
- Zero (0) to Three (3) years of equivalent experience in Energy Delivery is preferred.
- Knowledge of distribution systems is desired.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Circuit analysis software skills preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
