About the role
- Junior Backend Software Developer developing scalable backend services for etaONE platform. Collaborating in an agile team with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot technologies.
Responsibilities
- You develop and extend scalable backend services and RESTful APIs for our etaONE platform (using Spring Boot, Java/Kotlin)
- In an agile Kanban team, you work on designing new features and actively help shape our backend architecture
- You translate business requirements into clean technical solutions and contribute your own ideas
- You ensure code quality through automated tests, code reviews, and clean-code principles and continuously develop your technical skills
Requirements
- Degree in a STEM field (Computer Science or similar) or equivalent qualification
- Some practical experience in software development (e.g., internships, student positions, or personal GitHub projects) and good knowledge of Java or Kotlin
- Solid experience with REST APIs, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and Git
- Ideally, initial experience with the Spring framework
- Analytical thinking, team spirit, a strong willingness to learn, and a passion for clean code
- Excellent German and good English skills
