About the role
- Senior Cyber Security Engineer designing and enhancing security posture across cloud and on-prem environments at Entain. Leading initiatives and collaborating with diverse teams to ensure cyber resilience in digital entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Fortify Entain’s digital defences by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network, cloud, and endpoint architectures across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
- Lead vulnerability and risk management — identifying, assessing, and remediating security weaknesses across systems, software, and third-party integrations.
- Embed automation and efficiency by leveraging scripting and modern security tooling (e.g., SIEM, EDR, SOAR) to detect, respond, and recover swiftly.
- Drive security monitoring and operational awareness, supporting incident response from triage to containment and recovery.
- Integrate security at every stage of development and operations, ensuring alignment with frameworks such as ACSC ISM, NIST, ISO27001, and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure risk mitigation aligns with business priorities, compliance obligations, and customer expectations.
- Mentor and guide peers, providing thought leadership and fostering a culture of shared accountability for security.
- Champion proactive security awareness, helping teams adopt secure practices and stay ahead of emerging threats.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cyber security engineering, with hands-on technical expertise across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong understanding of Azure, AWS, and containerised architectures (AKS, EKS, Container Registry).
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Deep knowledge of security operations, incident response, and threat management.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for automation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
