About the role

  • lead the execution aspects of design, construction, and commissioning
  • support the development of Generator Interconnection Agreement (GIA)
  • review and optimize HV/MV substation, collection, transmission line, and equipment specifications
  • conduct or review power system studies
  • ensure all designs align with applicable codes, standards and company specifications
  • act as technical interface for the project between internal teams, external consultants, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers and equipment vendors
  • aid in the procurement process for HV equipment
  • provide expert technical support during the construction and commissioning phases
  • actively contribute to the project reporting & key achievements tracking

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, registered as a PE (US) or P.Eng. (Canada)
  • minimum 8 years, preferred 10-15+ years of progressively increasing technical and informal/functional leadership experience
  • directly related experience in utility scale power systems electrical design, integration and interconnection in a variety of North American ISOs
  • collaborative value-based attitude, balancing technical with cost, schedule, and full lifecycle asset considerations
  • effective communication skills to lead meetings with internal and external partners
  • valid drivers' license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire
