About the role
- Quality Engineer developing test strategies for software at empower GmbH. Collaborate closely with product and development teams on automated testing and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously maintain a test strategy in close collaboration with Product and Development.
- Design, implement and maintain automated tests at UI, API and integration levels.
- Build and extend test frameworks and tooling, and optimize test stability and execution times.
- Perform API, data and system tests, including test data setup and mocking/stubbing.
- Conduct exploratory and risk-based testing of new features and actively support release readiness and post-release quality.
- Act as a sparring partner for development teams on test design, automation and testable architecture/observability.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in application development or a completed technical degree.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in test automation.
- Practical experience working with REST-based web services.
- Basic development skills in JavaScript or C#.
- Good knowledge of developing REST-based APIs.
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Meticulous, independent and team-oriented working style.
