Proposal Engineer I for Power and Water Solutions at Emerson creating competitive project-specific proposals. Collaborating with internal teams and ensuring adherence to proposal standards.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all aspects of proposal preparation and approvals are executed accurately, completely, on time, ethically, and in accordance with PWS quality procedures.
Receives and prepares control system proposals Tier 3+ scope with low-medium complexity, in response to customer requests in the Latin America Market with supervision.
Review customer inquiries and interpret customer specifications and drawings for technical proposals.
Apply process and product knowledge when preparing technical proposals.
Develop best cost solutions to meet customer needs and ensure competitive positioning with supervised support.
Develop bills of materials, technical compliance, cabinets design, project schedules, layout drawings, and all other required proposal documentation.
Prepare pre-qualification submittals and supporting marketing collateral to position Emerson favorably to win future business.
Interface with other departments with Internal Proposal Teams, Sales Leads, Emerson Impact Partners (Operations, Sales, Sourcing, Legal, Logistics and 3rd party solutions), in India, Denmark, North America, and internally Latin America region.
Prepare and submit handover package to operations team.
Support internal and customer kick-off meetings.
Mandatory follows proposal process and documentation procedures.
Drives proposal process and documentation procedures as: Ensure the correct and updated information in the official tools for proposal development (EET, CRM, Clarity and HCM).
Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
1-2 years with expertise in Software and Control systems proposal or engineering related to process automation.
English B2+
Knowledge in controls and PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, applications and interfaces.
