About the role
- SRE Analyst ensuring availability and security of payment systems at Elo. Collaborating on automating infrastructure and solving service issues in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Support squads in defining infrastructure
- Support, develop and implement solutions ensuring resilience, scalability, security, and availability of Elo's new services
- Eliminate toil by creating development automation and self-healing mechanisms for infrastructure and applications
- Manage hybrid environments, including AWS and Azure
- Resolve incidents impacting our services through automation to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate on defining system metrics and observability dashboards for infrastructure and services
- Collaborate on defining capacity tests for the infrastructure
- Responsible for managing production incidents and conducting post-mortems
Requirements
- Familiarity with agile methodologies within a DevOps culture
- "Automate everything" mindset
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go
- Strong experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong experience in infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Solid experience creating reusable modules and providers in IaC tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, and Ansible
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems
- Self-management skills
- 2+ years of experience with cloud providers (AWS and Azure)
- Resilience to handle high-pressure situations
- Deep knowledge of TCP and HTTP protocols
- Strong knowledge of observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, Datadog, Loki, etc.)
- Strong experience in large-scale, mission-critical environments using open-source technologies
- Ownership mindset and strong collaboration skills are required
- Experience developing reliability indicators and dashboard models (SLI, SLO, and Error Budget)
