About the role
- QA Team Lead responsible for quality assurance and team management at Ding for mobile and web platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional product quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manual QA testers
- Conduct 1-on-1s with team members to support their professional growth
- Assign and prioritise testing tasks across the team
- Define and implement the overall QA strategy for both Ding app (iOS/Android) and web platforms
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Ensure comprehensive test plans and strategies are created for new features and releases
- Manage the defect lifecycle from identification through resolution
- Collaborate with automation engineers to identify automation opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5-6 years of hands-on experience in QA/testing roles with focus on mobile app (iOS/Android) and web platforms
- At least 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity, managing and mentoring QA testers
- Extensive experience testing mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms
- Strong knowledge of web application testing across multiple browsers and devices
- Proficiency with mobile app testing tools including Firebase Test Lab and Crashlytics
- Knowledge of mobile-specific testing considerations (push notifications, offline functionality, app permissions)
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing platforms such as BrowserStack or similar tools
- Familiarity with design collaboration tools like Figma for requirements validation and UI/UX testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
