About the role

  • Development Team Leader managing a team of .NET developers in a travel tech environment. Responsible for connectivity and operational performance on high-demand projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a back-end development team (.NET) specialized in airline connectivity
  • Organize the team’s work (prioritization, sprint planning, agile rituals)
  • Support the technical and functional upskilling of developers
  • Act as a recognized technical and functional point of reference
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding and performance evaluations
  • Design, evolve and maintain robust, scalable airline connectivity APIs
  • Ensure code quality (code reviews, best practices, management of technical debt)
  • Contribute to architectural decisions (performance, resilience, monitoring, security)
  • Be involved in critical topics: - high availability - handling large volumes - latency and timeouts - incident recovery
  • Master key airline domain concepts: Shopping / Pricing / Availability; Booking / Ticketing / Post-booking; GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport); NDC; airline APIs and aggregators
  • Understand business objectives: conversion, look-to-book, costs, partner SLAs
  • Propose functional and technical optimizations of data and request flows
  • Work closely with: Product Owners; BI / Data teams; Ops / Infrastructure / SRE teams; Support teams and external partners
  • Participate in technical committees and product trade-off decisions
  • Communicate clearly about progress, risks and trade-offs

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong command of .NET / C#
  • Significant experience on airline connectivity projects or distribution platforms
  • Proven experience as a Team Lead or Lead Developer
  • Significant experience with: REST / SOAP APIs, distributed architectures, high-load systems
  • Good knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to: performance, monitoring, logging, security
  • Comfortable working in complex, multi-stakeholder and fast-changing environments
