Intern supporting finance operations at Deloitte Singapore. Assisting the Operations team with invoicing, compliance, and financial transaction management.
Responsibilities
Support the Operations team on daily operational matters to support financial and accounting activities
Manage operational processing relating to payment cycle (processing and payment of invoices and staff claims)
Tracking and reconciliation of various financial transactions in accounts payable, inter firm and inter company payables
Compile financial information for reporting, analysis, tax and audit
Ensure accounting and tax compliance with local and government requirements
Prepare and issue accurate invoices to clients based on approved billing requests, contracts, or supporting documents
Ensure invoices are sent promptly and in accordance with agreed billing schedules
Verify billing details such as pricing, client information, and payment terms
Handle billing queries and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and clients
Prepare basic AR report (Statement of Account)
Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices and supporting documents
Requirements
Experience with bookkeeping practices
Knowledge of accounting terminology
Understanding of filing systems
Good administrative & organisational skills
Attention to details
Basic knowledge of accounting rules and legislation
Ability to prioritise work efficiently
Good communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Must display professionalism, confidence and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member
