Responsibilities
The company designs and sells autonomous underwater drones paired with a cloud-based data processing platform
As Lead Embedded Software Engineer, you will be the technical lead for the entire embedded software scope
Design, develop and maintain the end-to-end embedded software architecture
Set up and optimize embedded Linux distributions using Yocto (Bitbake)
Manage the boot process and system initialization (U-Boot, device tree, filesystems)
Define and implement secure update solutions (OTA — Over-The-Air)
Develop and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers (primarily STM32)
Ensure integration of sensors and equipment specific to marine environments
Collaborate closely with electronics and mechanical teams to ensure system-level consistency
Participate in resolving complex technical issues and system debugging
Requirements
Engineering degree in embedded systems or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development
Strong knowledge of embedded Linux (Yocto, Bitbake)
Solid low-level development expertise (U-Boot, Device Tree, Linux kernel)
Excellent command of C/C++ on microcontrollers (STM32, RTOS, interrupt handling)
Experience with hardware interfacing and Linux driver development
Good knowledge of communication protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART...)
Good command of English
