About the role
- Java/Oracle Developer supporting technology refresh and migration initiatives at DATAGROUP. Involves modernizing legacy systems and collaborating on cloud migration efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient JAVA-based frontend as well as Java components and Oracle PL/SQL procedures for the ETL process.
- Contribute to the migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application modernisation and cloud migration efforts.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Solid experience in Java development and object-oriented programming.
- Strong skills in Oracle PL/SQL and ideally some exposure to PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with IBM DataStage is a plus.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, Git, and modern development practices.
- Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.
