About the role

  • Director of Regulatory Affairs for Dairy Management Inc. leading regulatory strategy and engaging with teams to ensure compliance and representation of dairy products. Responsible for monitoring policies and supporting marketing claims.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day regulatory affairs activities
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams to ensure accurate representation of dairy foods
  • Serve as an internal expert on food labeling and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor policy developments and engage with the regulatory community
  • Develop and maintain substantiation for marketing and labeling claims
  • Collaborate with internal teams for scientifically substantiated claim language
  • Provide direct support and guidance to the Regulatory Affairs team
  • Participate in working groups with external regulatory organizations

Requirements

  • High proficiency in Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations
  • Knowledge of claims and certifications in food marketing and product labeling
  • Ability to translate complex science and regulation into clear guidance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and technical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in nutrition research and applications
  • Experience working cross-functionally in matrixed environments
  • Stakeholder engagement and influence skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in food regulatory affairs or similar environment
