About the role

  • Technical leadership of a group of Vehicle Cyber Security Architects within the field of Vehicle Cyber Security, and content-related leadership of project-specific cross-functional working groups at Daimler Buses GmbH, in coordination with organizational units at Daimler Truck AG.
  • Strategic development of the Vehicle Cyber Security domain and implementation of Vehicle Cyber Security measures in control units (ECUs), EE architectures and vehicle integrations.
  • Development, further development and continuous improvement of processes, methods and technical measures for Vehicle Cyber Security.
  • Coordination with stakeholders and those responsible for control units, EE systems, EE architectures and vehicle integrations, as well as with suppliers and service providers.
  • Organization, preparation, coordination and execution of audits, steering committees and alignment rounds in the field of Vehicle Cyber Security.

Requirements

  • You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable discipline and have pursued further training in IT Cyber Security or Vehicle Cyber Security.
  • You have several years of professional experience with technical responsibility in vehicle development at an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, consultancy or have comparable experience in the Vehicle Cyber Security domain.
  • You have several years of professional experience with technical responsibility in automotive development in the area of Vehicle Cyber Security (risk analysis, Secure Vehicle Development, embedded security measures and cryptography) and possess sound knowledge of cyber security standards and regulations (e.g. ISO27000, ISO/SAE 21434, UN ECE R155, CRA).
  • You have strong communication and team skills, along with persuasiveness and assertiveness. You have several years of experience providing technical guidance and leadership to colleagues without disciplinary authority and leading cross-functional working groups in vehicle development, and you are experienced in working with suppliers and service providers.
  • You possess outstanding analytical and structuring skills, think strategically, are solution- and customer-oriented, and have a high level of confidence in methodological approaches.
  • You bring a high degree of initiative, commitment and sense of responsibility. Your German and English language skills, both written and spoken, are at a business-fluent/negotiation level.
