About the role
- Software Test Engineer focusing on testing processes and quality improvement in a technology company. Engaging in both manual and automated testing within a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute manual and automated tests (Unit, Integration, End-to-End, System and Regression tests)
- Create and maintain test cases, test plans and test strategies
- Analyze, document and track defects in close collaboration with development teams
- Participate in agile processes (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives)
- Work closely with Development and IT Support (2nd / 3rd level)
- Continuously improve test coverage and reduce bugs and support tickets
- Ensure quality with regard to functionality, performance, security and usability
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software testing (manual and automated)
- Very good German language skills at native level (C2 or equivalent)
- Willingness to be regularly on-site in Nuremberg (hybrid model, not full remote)
- Experience with test automation as well as unit and integration testing
- Programming skills in JavaScript and/or C#
- ISTQB certification (nice-to-have)
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) (nice-to-have)
- Experience testing web applications (nice-to-have)
