About the role
- Platform Engineer developing observability solutions in a hybrid role for Brazilian financial platform. Involves dashboard building, telemetry management, and cloud efficiency optimization.
Responsibilities
- Observability evolution: build and sustain dashboards, views, and advanced alerting systems for resilient production environments.
- Real SRE culture: actively work with the telemetry triad (Logs, Metrics, and Tracing) and APM tools to reduce incident response time.
- SLO/SLI management: define service level objectives (SLOs) based on real performance indicators (SLIs) (e.g., requirement latency), avoiding superficial metrics.
- Efficiency and cost: use application instrumentation to identify opportunities for faster scaling, performance improvements, and waste reduction in the Cloud (FinOps).
Requirements
- Strong experience at companies with robust production environments and high scalability.
- Proficiency with APM tools (Dynatrace, New Relic, or DataDog).
- Deep knowledge of the stack: OpenSearch, Kong, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Hands-on experience instrumenting applications and using results to optimize costs and performance.
- Cloud experience (AWS or similar providers, with an emphasis on provider-agnostic solutions).
- Availability for hybrid work: required to attend our office in the Morumbi area of São Paulo once a month for 4 consecutive days, typically in the last or first week of the month (Creditas In Person).
