About the role
- Lead Mechanical Engineer overseeing a team of engineers and draftsmen for mechanical design projects in Dourdan, France. Ensure project management from design to certification phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead the activities of the Mechanical Design Office composed of 2 mechanical design engineers and 3 drafters/CAD technicians
- Team management: allocate resources, manage workload priorities, and monitor/ensure the team's technical competence on department-specific tasks
- Manage the department's operating budget, ensuring execution within the framework set by management
- Analyze, review and validate quotations/estimates related to the department's tasks
- Oversee mechanical activities during the Study, Mock-up, Prototype, Qualification and Certification phases
Requirements
- University-level education (Master's degree / Engineering School - Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on design
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer, including team management experience
- Skills: Mechanical engineering
- 3D software: SOLIDWORKS
- English: good command (read, written and spoken)
