About the role

  • Conference Producer managing high-impact sponsorship-driven events aligned with climate agenda. Creating content and engaging top speakers for global audiences in sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the full production lifecycle of events aligned with the climate agenda
  • Create a compelling event value proposition to attract high-level speakers, sponsors, key partners and the target audience, to be delivered through sponsorship and marketing briefs
  • Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitor landscapes, and industry challenges, and translate this research into commercially attractive agendas. This includes session content, interviewers, speaker scripts and production briefs
  • Ensure a timely delivery of events, with accurate milestone tracking, that achieve set KPIs/goals. This will include the management of onsite event execution and post event analysis and reporting
  • Support the Commercial team by coordinating sponsorship participation, and establishing content and speaker inventories to support revenue targets
  • Design and implement strategies for audience acquisition and engagement
  • Work with marketing to keep event websites up to date with speakers, partners, sessions, and key information
  • Write promotional copy for marketing campaigns and editorial content
  • Keep your finger on the pulse by research and validation of new topics throughout the year to identify new timely launches

Requirements

  • **A minimum of 4 years’ experience in creating, managing and delivering international B2B conferences** funded by sponsorship and delegate or membership revenue streams; ideally in sustainability, climate change, energy or agriculture
  • Events, by nature, are fast-paced, high-pressure environments, so you are someone who can adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities with ease.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and organised; able to work independently to deliver tasks and achieve project objectives
  • Experience in a single market sector, including evidence of strong relationships with key players across the industry, such as sustainable innovation, energy transition, investment, hydrogen, supply chains and climate policy
  • **Desirable:**
  • Extensive knowledge about climate change, environmental policy, and sustainability frameworks
  • Knowledge and experience of climate issues, with reference to sustainability issues, subnational climate commitments and the UNFCCC COP process
  • Academic or professional background in sustainability, climate science, or related fields is also advantageous** **
