About the role
- Junior SOC Analyst at Claranet responsible for monitoring information security and incident response. Collaborating with IT and cybersecurity teams to mitigate risks and protect digital assets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the network and systems in real time to detect suspicious or anomalous activities that may indicate a security breach.
- Analyze security alerts, determine the severity of incidents, and take necessary corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to implement strategies that improve the company’s security posture.
- Participate in incident response, conducting investigations to determine the origin and impact of security incidents.
- Develop and maintain security reports that document incidents, actions taken, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, applying this knowledge to protect Claranet’s assets.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees, reinforcing the importance of cybersecurity in the workplace.
- Assist in defining and implementing security policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulations.
- Ensure all security monitoring activities comply with Claranet’s internal policies and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Certifications: Not mandatory but desirable (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH).
- Training/Courses: Background in security monitoring, incident analysis, and networking courses.
- Language level: Basic English.
- Specific skills: Support for security monitoring, alert analysis, and incident documentation.
- Advantage: Knowledge of SIEM and EDR tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, and Kaspersky).
