About the role

  • Finance Manager at CI&T overseeing financial operations in the Philippines and Australia. Responsibilities include managing accounting, cash flow, and compliance within multinational entities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations for both Philippine and Australian entities.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local statutory requirements.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports for management review.
  • Manage daily cash flow, liquidity planning, and funding requirements for both regions.
  • Execute and oversee all treasury functions, including bank relationships and payment processing.
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP): Verify, post, and reconcile invoices; efficiently manage supplier payments.
  • Handle Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage client billing cycles, issue invoices, and follow up on collections to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Manage all BIR-related compliance in the Philippines including VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax filing, and annual reporting.
  • Oversee Australian tax obligations and coordinate with external tax advisors.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science in Accountancy is mandatory.
  • A valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license is highly preferred.
  • min 12 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity, yet still hands-on.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial operations for multinational entities (experience with Australian markets is a distinct advantage).
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential for daily coordination with Australian stakeholders and global teams.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles, tax laws, and global financial rules.
  • Prior experience in the Professional Services, Digital, IT, or Software Development industries is strongly preferred.
  • Experienced with project-based accounting (e.g., Time & Materials vs. Fixed Price revenue recognition) is a significant plus.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, SAP) and a master of Excel skills.
  • Proven experience on Australian systems, Australian government regulations, in addition to the Philippines, gives the candidates extra points.
