About the role
- Senior Network & Security Engineer responsible for incident resolution and handling in Datacenter. Engage in installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and security infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for incident resolution and request handling within the datacenter network and security infrastructure scope.
- Responsibilities include installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, capacity management and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, NAC, load balancers, web application firewalls, proxies, DNS and VPN connectivity.
- Monitoring and incident/problem resolution of security equipment.
- Instructs users to help prevent recurring incidents/problems.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of developments in the data communications field.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience in a role combining network engineering and cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and communication systems.
- Experience with fiber optics and network peripherals.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Hands-on experience with VLAN configuration and management; routing protocols (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP); Cisco IOS (ACI is considered an asset).
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
- Familiarity with syslogs and monitoring tools.
- Fluent French is mandatory; a solid level of technical English is required.
