Advanced Software Integration Engineer designing and optimizing avionics software for Honeywell Aerospace's Next Generation Avionics platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
Design, integrate, and optimize highly complex avionics software functions hosted on Honeywell’s Next Generation Avionics (NGA) Platform.
Collaborate across Integrated Product Teams and engineering disciplines to deliver a scalable, high‑performance Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) solution that supports next‑gen aircraft systems.
Perform end to end integration of avionics software components on Honeywell’s Next Generation Avionics (NGA) platform, ensuring compliance with ARINC 653 partitioning, system resource allocations, and multicore scheduling constraints on the host module.
Emphasize integration processes which maximize data driven modification and support FAA certification.
Design, implement, and maintain KPI metrics tools used to monitor software maturity, integration progress, memory/CPU utilization, and avionics system performance across engineering teams.
Perform detailed analysis of KPI dataset outputs, validating accuracy and consistency of system metrics, and generating engineering reports that influence program-level technical decision making.
Analyze high level avionics system requirements and decompose them into detailed software and integration requirements, ensuring traceability through the full development lifecycle.
Configure and execute integration test campaigns using avionics benches, virtual platforms, and hardware in the loop (HIL) environments. Debug complex interactions between software partitions, I/O services, and platform infrastructure.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
4 plus years of experience in avionics software integration or software systems integration in an aerospace environment.
