Home Care Nursing Services role managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver client nursing services in Winnipeg Health Region. Requires nursing supervision experience and relevant qualifications.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager Health Services, the incumbent functions as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a consistent standard of client nursing services.
Responsible management of nursing staff and other resources.
Supervise and manage their staff according to the MNU collective agreement, CRNM Standards of Practice and Operational Standards for the Visiting Nurse Program.
Requirements
Minimum of four years recent related nursing experience.
Experience supervising staff required, preferably in a unionized environment.
Community experience an asset.
Case Management experience an asset.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements in accordance with Employer policy.
Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
Valid Driver’s License and use of a vehicle.
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize a complex workload to meet deadlines.
Knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity as it relates to clients and staff.
Basic computer skills in a windows environment.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
