About the role
- Test Manager overseeing test strategy and QA processes for a EU customs digitalization project. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving infrastructure testing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Defining and managing the overall test strategy for infrastructure and platform components within the ecosystem.
- Coordinating test planning, execution, and reporting across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Leading the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and security teams to ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements.
- Managing performance, integration, and regression testing for infrastructure services and automation workflows.
- Ensuring testing activities are aligned with DevSecOps principles, including continuous testing and shift-left practices.
- Overseeing defect management, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
- Maintaining comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Driving continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and team capabilities.
- Supporting audits and compliance efforts by ensuring traceability and documentation of test results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience as a Test Manager or Senior QA Lead in IT infrastructure or DevOps environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure components (e.g., servers, networks, virtualization, containers, cloud platforms).
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks relevant to infrastructure and CI/CD (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Selenium, Robot Framework).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including security testing and compliance validation.
- Excellent knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, SAFe, ITIL, or cloud certifications) are an advantage.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are a plus.
