About the role

• Providing Level 2 application support for critical platforms under a European Commission initiative. Focus on digitalization of customs processes and improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 application support for critical platforms, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manage and maintain certificates and TLS configurations, including generating certificates and configuring keystores.
• Execute basic Linux administration tasks such as viewing and filtering logs, performing basic troubleshooting, and using tools like vi.
• Support Oracle WebLogic environments with basic configuration and operational tasks.
• Utilize SQL for basic queries and data validation.
• Develop and maintain simple scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth platform operations and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar application L2 support role.
• Basic understanding of Oracle WebLogic administration and concepts.
• Solid foundational knowledge of Linux, including log analysis and basic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with certificates and TLS, including generating certificates and configuring keystores.
• Basic SQL skills for querying and troubleshooting.
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Shell, Python, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
