About the role
- Technical Product and Platform Risk Manager at Capital One focusing on risk management for digital products. Partnering with leaders to identify and mitigate potential risks across technology platforms.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product and tech leaders by leveraging a trusted advisor model to propel key business initiatives though integrated risk strategies
- Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, products, services, and risk profile to inform emerging risks and mitigation priorities
- Ensure escalation of risk management gaps, issues, and concerns, including emerging risks and regulatory focus areas
- Consult on Risks across the first line of defense business partners providing advice and guidance as needed
- Participate in risk oversight to ongoing risk assessments and processes criticality assessments
- Manage multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines
- Communicate complex ideas concisely and convincingly, adjust communication to the audience and comfortable with presenting to risk and digital platform leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in Risk Management, Digital Product Technology, or External Audit, or a combination
- At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal and external business clients
- At least 3 years of experience planning and leading IT audits or risk assessments
- At least 6 years experience in Risk Management supporting platforms and tech products (Preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience consulting with senior executives or strategy building (Preferred)
- Risk Certifications (CRISC, CISM, CRCM, CIPP, ABA Risk Mgmt Certification) (Preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience in the Financial Services industry (Preferred)
