About the role
- Lead Test Automation Engineer designing automation frameworks using Playwright for Camping World. Empowering QA teams from manual to full-scale automation across diverse platforms and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks using modern tools
- Integrate automation seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines, championing a shift-left testing approach
- Explore and incorporate AI-driven testing solutions and next-gen automation tools
- Ensure robust automation across multi-cloud environments and diverse application stacks
- Coach and upskill manual QA engineers into proficient automation engineers
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and collaboration within the QA team
- Conduct code reviews, share best practices, and maintain high standards of automation quality
- Define and execute a comprehensive QA strategy covering functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
- Deliver executive-friendly automation reports highlighting key metrics
- Drive data-informed decisions to continuously improve testing efficiency and product quality
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in software QA automation with proven expertise in tools like Playwright, Postman, Selenium
- Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Ability to read, debug, and enhance existing Playwright automation code
- Demonstrated experience with API testing (Postman preferred)
- Strong understanding of modern automation concepts, CI/CD integration, and shift‑left practices
- Experience mentoring or leading QA engineers in automation
- Solid understanding of web technologies, RESTful services, and modern SDLC processes.
