About the role
- Functions in a lead technician capacity, technical design specialist and/or supervisor
- Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex design challenges
- Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions
- Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling)
- Responsible for ensuring technical excellence, adherence to schedules, and compliance with budgetary requirements
- Effectively coordinates efforts across departments, teams, and stakeholders
- Supervises an assigned team of engineering technicians and support personnel
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
- Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology (preferred)
- Diploma in Design Education or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technology or Related disciplines
- Minimum 15 years of experience required in the related field for this qualification
- Experience with municipal water/wastewater projects for utilities and contractors
- Proficiency as a Mechanical designer, Layout and Piping designer, Drafter
- Competency in AutoCAD 2D and AutoCAD Plant 3D
