About the role

  • Hydrogeologist / Water Resources Engineer managing water supply evaluations and groundwater projects. Collaborating on hydrogeologic solutions to enhance system operability across various clients.

Responsibilities

  • plan and oversee tasks such as water supply evaluations, installation of groundwater production wells, well testing and analysis, injection wells, quantitative hydrogeology and other tasks associated with hydrogeology and geology
  • provide professional hydrogeological support for a wide range of domestic and potentially international projects
  • develop and support proposal, work plan, and report deliverables
  • work with project technical leads, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure that work products meet client needs
  • ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
  • evaluate and interpret collected geologic and hydrogeologic data
  • prepare or review graphical and tabular data summaries
  • develop and support the presentation of project findings to clients and technical professionals
  • oversight of subcontractors and adherence to project specifications and designs
  • mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing across the practice

Requirements

  • 5 to 9 years of relevant experience in the field of hydrogeology, geology, geosystems engineering or environmental geology
  • Licensed Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer, or equivalent
  • Field experience on projects such as drilling, aquifer testing and analysis, water quality sampling, and evaluation
  • Advanced experience conducting subsurface geologic and hydrogeologic evaluations, hydrogeologic conceptualization and aquifer characterization
  • Interpolation of hydrogeologic, hydro stratigraphic, and water quality data
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities in complex geologic or hydrogeologic environments
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Working proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS or equivalent software
  • Functional understanding of Python or other programming languages
  • Experience coordinating and overseeing field staff, subcontractors, and project tasks
