About the role

  • Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer developing innovative financial solutions at BNY. Lead application development with cutting-edge AI and technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Should enjoy quick prototyping, implementing cloud-ready services, building tools to improve end to end application – develop a strong connect with all stakeholders and testing team
  • Experience of working in services tool sets & programming languages – Node, GraphQL, Hazelcast
  • Provide superior software development services in a fast-paced and innovative working environment.
  • Implement structured logging using SLF4J and Log4j and integrate with monitoring tools and logging aggregators (e.g., Splunk, ELK).
  • Ensure data integrity and business logic correctness when integrating with Oracle and relational databases.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to define and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, ensuring smooth and secure build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Work with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements.
  • Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business and technical issues. Actively participate in team discussions, provide guidance and expert opinion on the subject matter.
  • Coordinate coding, unit testing, implementation and documentation of solution.
  • Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved.
  • Comply with BNY standard development methodology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of expertise into Application Development
  • Highly proficient in Core java, design patterns, Microservices architecture, Restful APIs, Angular etc.
  • Added advantage if candidate has proficiency in Apache Spark, Kafka.
  • Experience with SLF4J, Log4j, and log aggregation tools.
  • Familiarity with Oracle and SQL-based data access, schema design, and data integrity strategies.
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD principles using GitLab CI, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Must have thorough and demonstrative knowledge on or both the user-side frontend of a website, as well as the backend, server-side that powers the user-side.
  • Additional requirements include intermediate understanding of security principles, relational databases and architecture design principles.
  • Provides comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs.
  • Evaluates compliance with the organization's technology standards.
  • Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code.
  • Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites.
  • Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Actively participate in code reviews.
