About the role

  • Data Engineer designing and maintaining data pipelines at Black Semiconductor. Collaborating with process, equipment, and IT teams to support manufacturing analytics and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with process, equipment, and IT teams to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines supporting manufacturing analytics and decision-making
  • Collect, transform, and model large-scale production, metrology, and equipment datasets for yield, performance, and reliability analysis
  • Enable and support predictive and prescriptive models by providing reliable, scalable, and well-governed data pipelines and feature datasets
  • Govern data architecture standards, ensuring consistency, data lineage, and traceability across MES, EI, and APC systems
  • Support data visualization, reporting, and advanced analytics platforms to enable end-user insights and automation initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data science, preferably coming from the semiconductor industry or related sectors
  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and process modeling
  • Proficiency in programming and data manipulation languages such as Python, SQL, and R
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (German is a plus), with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable business recommendations.
