About the role

  • Student internship focused on computer vision solutions for warehouse quality detection. Involves software development and integration of imaging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Development and optimization of a defect detection solution using computer vision
  • Enable automatic detection and evaluation of the installation quality of warehouse systems
  • Development of software modules to control industrial cameras, 3D sensors, and other image-processing hardware
  • Optimization of processing for large image datasets
  • Implementation of noise-reduction and error-correction mechanisms to improve detection accuracy
  • Building test environments and benchmarks to ensure algorithm performance under real-world conditions
  • Use of a high-end AI camera (e.g., Cognex In-Sight) as a reference and development of an alternative cost-effective solution
  • Data collection in industrial environments during warehouse construction
  • Labeling and data processing

Requirements

  • Enrolled student (FH/TU) in a technical or computer science degree program
  • Ideally: fundamentals of data processing
  • Current grade of at least 2.3 (German grading scale)
  • Very good Python skills and practical experience with C++
  • Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Ultra, or OpenCV
  • Experience integrating industrial cameras and 3D sensors
  • Solid knowledge in classification, segmentation, object detection, and 3D analysis
  • English skills at B2 level or higher
