Responsibilities
- Preparing design drawings reports, letters and technical memorandums
- Directing staff involved with the design process
- Supporting the construction engineering services for your projects
- Maintaining and building relationships with clients
- Supporting and/or leading the preparation of fee proposals
- Undertaking quality control procedures and monitoring design standards on completed work
- Coordinate and collaborate with project team members in the production of project deliverables and provide guidance where necessary
- Use various standard engineering methods and techniques to solve problems and make decisions on project work
Requirements
- A minimum 4-7+ years of design and project delivery experience in a civil consulting engineering environment
- Experience working independently on projects with ownership of project deliverables
- Proficient using AutoCAD and Civil3D, or other software required within their area of practice
- Proven history of delivery of transportation or highway design projects
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent in applied science, engineering, geoscience, science or technology from a university program recognized by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board
- Registered as P.Eng. with a Canadian governing body
- Demonstrated professional judgment, attention to detail and ability to consistently maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality in work produced
- Demonstrated ability to organize, delegate and review others’ work and provide guidance and expertise to less experienced team members
