About the role
- Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) in electronics at Belden responsible for managing supplier strategies and relationships globally. Collaborating on projects with cross-functional teams and driving sourcing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Full ownership for managing and developing commodity groups in Electronics within the global procurement network
- Develop and implement category strategies in close coordination with global and local procurement organizations
- Establish, maintain and further develop sustainable supplier relationships worldwide
- Conduct market and supplier analyses to identify opportunities, risks and optimization potential
- Participate in risk and crisis management, particularly regarding supply shortages, obsolescence issues, and alternative sourcing strategies
- Prepare, conduct and follow up on price and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with Development/Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Production to involve Procurement early in projects
- Actively contribute to international projects and participate in global meetings
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable field
- 2+ years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in electronics or electromechanics
- Proven experience working with international suppliers and global teams
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with a high degree of initiative and decisiveness
- Excellent communication skills, intercultural competence and enjoyment of collaborating in global teams
- Fluent in English and German
