- Director of Technology leading DevOps and Release to modernize platforms at BECU. Fostering high-performing teams and driving digital transformation across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that aligns with business objectives, ensuring innovation and efficiency.
- Drive Digital Transformation: Spearhead the modernization of platforms, embracing Cloud, API, and DevOps best practices.
- Build and Lead High-Performing Teams: Mentor, coach, and manage engineering and delivery teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence.
- Implement Agile Best Practices: Oversee the adoption of agile methodologies to improve delivery speed, quality, and adaptability.
- Enhance System Performance: Ensure scalability, security, and resilience across enterprise technology solutions.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with business leaders to align technology investments with operational goals and member needs.
- Optimize Financial and Resource Planning: Oversee technology budgets and resource allocation to drive cost-effective solutions.
- Foster Innovation: Identify and implement emerging technologies to enhance BECU’s competitive edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
- 7 years of people leadership experience, with experience working within or supporting DevOps, SRE and/or Cloud operations teams.
- Experience leading technology teams required.
- 8 years of information technology experience with demonstrated expertise in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation with hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management.
- Domain experience with financial products (i.e. Credit Card, Mortgage, Auto Loan, Deposits, etc.) required.
- Experience building technology platforms and teams required.
