Support the coordination of Commissioning Engineers and deployment planning.
Analyze test results and provide recommendations.
Ensure compliance with existing standards, regulations, norms, and contribute to defining BayWa r.e. commissioning standards.
Act as the interface between the construction team, grid team, O&M team and engineering team.
Execute and/or supervise activities and tests related to the commissioning of power plants.
Supervise or perform tests and commissioning activities of the park’s internal MV grid, and support and/or execute MV switching activities.
Perform the commissioning of inverters.
Troubleshoot systems during the commissioning phase to ensure a smooth transition into operation.
Review test and commissioning protocols and procedures submitted by manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors.
Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to optimize future system designs.
Ensure all commissioning-related tests, reports and checklists are performed according to the Quality Plan / Commissioning Plan, and ensure proper documentation.
Report commissioning activities to the Team Leader Commissioning.
Requirements
Engineer or technician background, ideally in electrical engineering or mechatronics, with at least 3 years of experience in commissioning power plants.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including the capacity to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and schematics.
Hands-on experience with key commissioning tests and procedures, including insulation resistance testing, Earth Testing (Step and Touch Potential, continuity tests), MV cable withstand tests (VLF), MV/HV energization procedures, and MV switchgear maneuvers.
Knowledge of protection relay configuration as well as testing and commissioning standards for PV, battery systems, and partial knowledge of wind systems.
Familiarity with SCADA systems from various technologies/manufacturers is a plus, as is experience working in international teams.
Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills required.
Fluency in business English; additional languages are an advantage.
Willingness to travel frequently to construction sites across Europe.
